Lou Carnesecca, the legendary St. John's University basketball coach known for his colorful sweaters and charismatic presence, has died at 99. Carnesecca led St. John's for 24 seasons, achieving 18 NCAA Tournament appearances and a Final Four run in 1985. A Hall of Fame inductee in 1992, he was celebrated for his dedication to the game and his players, leaving a lasting legacy in New York sports.
