"Squad" Democrats Tlaib and Bush Vote Against US Ban on Hamas
"Squad" Democrats Cori Bush and Rashida Tlaib were the only two representatives who voted against a bill barring Hamas terrorists from entering the United States, with Rep. Delia Ramirez voting present. Tlaib criticized the bill as unnecessary and inciting hatred, while Ramirez called it a waste of resources and time. The bill, which passed with 422 votes, expanded the ban on Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) officers to include all PLO members and barred Hamas members and other participants in the Oct. 7 attack from the U.S. Bush, Tlaib, and Ramirez are part of a minority of Democrats critical of Israel in the ongoing conflict.
