Over 100 lawyers leave Lewis Brisbois for new boutique firm.
Over 100 lawyers are leaving Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith to join a newly-formed spinoff firm, Barber Ranen, with as many as 140 lawyers potentially joining in total. The new firm will be led by John Barber and Jeffrey Ranen, and will offer a range of legal services including commercial, transactional, intellectual property and employment advice. The departing lawyers wanted more flexibility than they had at Lewis Brisbois, according to Barber.
