Dusty Baker is joining the San Francisco Giants as a special assistant, providing his experience to work with the baseball operations and assist with certain business operations, allowing him to remain involved with the game in a less demanding capacity than a managerial position, and work closer to his home in Sacramento. Baker previously managed the Giants for a decade, winning Manager of the Year honors and leading them to an NL pennant in 2002.
