The Alef Aeronautics Model A has become the first flying car to receive accreditation from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), allowing it to legally drive on the road and take off into the skies. The Model A is a two-seater electric vehicle with vertical takeoff and landing capabilities, and it has a driving range of 200 miles and a flight range of 110 miles. The FAA has granted Alef a "Special Airworthiness Certificate," limiting where the prototypes can fly. The expected price of the Model A is $300,000, and pre-orders are currently being accepted.
