The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition offers comprehensive visual upgrades and all DLC for a $10 upgrade fee, but suffers from poor performance on consoles, with frame-rates struggling to hit 60fps and questionable changes to its art direction. The 30fps cinematic mode provides a good first impression, but the 60fps performance mode is far from stable. The visual tweaks are well done, but have a knock-on effect on the art direction that may prove divisive. The frame-pacing at 30fps and highly variable frame-rate in performance mode need to be fixed.
