Hidetaka Miyazaki of Elden Ring named one of Time's 100 most influential people.
Hidetaka Miyazaki, the president of FromSoftware and director of Elden Ring, has been named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people of the year. Miyazaki is only the second video game developer to make the list, with the first being Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto in 2007. Elden Ring has sold 20 million copies as of February 2022, with Miyazaki being credited for creating the Soulslike sub-genre. The Time 100 list is chosen based on the influence of the nominees, regardless of their personal popularity or fame.
