Tragic Deaths of Experienced Hikers in New Hampshire's White Mountains
Experienced hiker Christopher Roma, 37, died during a solo hike in New Hampshire's White Mountains, facing brutal conditions including single-digit temperatures, harsh winds, and waist-deep snow. Roma, an expert hiker who ran his own trail guide business, had started the hike with two others who turned back, but he chose to continue.
