State track athletes break records and dazzle in competitive races.

Adrian's Jace Martin won gold medals in the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, and 400-meter race at the OSAA track and field state championship meet, posting times that were competitive with Oregon's bigger schools. Martin's time of 10.60 in the 100-meter dash prelims was the highest of any of the prelims at the state tournament. Despite being unable to compete against bigger school athletes this spring, Martin believes that the state's small schools had what it took to push him to a high level. Adrian's boys won the Class 1A state championship with 57 points.
