Astros Outlast Mets in Wild Slugfest.
The Houston Astros won a wild game against the New York Mets, 10-8, in a slugfest that featured 19 hits, 16 walks, and 12 pitchers. Astros starter Cristian Javier struggled, throwing 82 pitches in just 2.1 innings, but the Astros' offense bailed out the pitching staff with two RBI each from Mauricio Dubon, Alex Bregman, Yainer Diaz, and Corey Julks. Julks also made two incredible plays in left field and scored on a squeeze bunt. The Astros won the series against the Mets and scored 14 runs in the last two games despite missing Yordan Alvarez and a 0-10 performance from Kyle Tucker.
