Gary Young, the original drummer for indie-rock band Pavement, has passed away at the age of 70. Young played a crucial role in the band's influential debut album, "Slanted and Enchanted," and his studio, Louder Than You Think, served as the recording space for the album. Known for his wild onstage antics, Young's contributions to Pavement's sound and live performances were highly regarded. After leaving the band in 1992, he continued to release solo projects and reunited with Pavement for two shows in 2010. A documentary on his life, "Louder Than You Think," premiered earlier this year.
