Sioux Falls Area Schools Closed Due to Winter Storm
The Sioux Falls School District has postponed all activities and events for Friday evening and Saturday due to dangerous weather conditions, with no classes on Friday for a teacher work day and none on Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. A winter weather advisory until 6 p.m. Friday in Minnehaha County and a winter storm warning until 6 p.m. Friday in Lincoln County have prompted these closures, including the University of South Dakota in Sioux Falls and Southeast Technical College moving classes to remote learning on Friday. More weather-related closures may be announced.
