Two Hindu temples, including one over 150 years old, were desecrated in Pakistan's Sindh province. In Karachi, the old Mari Mata Temple was demolished, allegedly with police cover, leaving only the outer walls intact. Cyclone Biparjoy Threatens Pakistan and India with Evacuations and Damage.

More than 80,000 people have been displaced from their homes along the coastal belt in Sindh province as Cyclone Biparjoy, classified as a "very severe cyclonic storm", is expected to make landfall. Fishermen and their families are worried about their livelihoods and possessions, including boats and chickens, as they wait in relief camps. The cyclone has winds recorded at between 150 to 160km/h (93 to 99mph), and is likely to strike the border areas between Rann of Kutch in India and Keti Bandar in Pakistan. The government is doing its best to aid displaced people, but it is difficult to convince fishermen and families to leave their homes and wait out the storm in the relief camps.
