Upcoming Storms and Changing Weather Patterns in Northern California

Dry skies are expected in Northern California through the weekend, with rounds of beneficial rain forecasted for next week. On Saturday, mostly sunny skies are expected with temperatures in the mid-60s in the Valley. A weather system will bring cloud cover on Sunday, but it will be a dry day. Rain is expected on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, with intermittent dry periods. The region could see 1.5 inches or more of rain in Valley spots and 2-3 inches in the West Slope of the Sierra. Snow levels in the Sierra will start high, above 8,200 feet, and gradually drop below 7,000 feet by Wednesday. Ski resorts may see heavy, wet snow above 8,000 feet.
