'Gay furry hackers' strike again, exposing more NATO data

A hacktivist group known as SiegedSec has claimed to have breached multiple NATO websites for the second time, stealing over 3,000 files and 9GB of data. The group, which identifies as "gay furry hackers," targeted various NATO portals, including the Joint Advanced Distributed Learning e-learning website and the NATO Lessons Learned Portal. This follows their previous intrusion in July, during which they leaked 845MB of data. The stolen data reportedly includes unclassified documents and 8,000 personnel records, potentially exposing sensitive information. NATO is currently investigating the incidents.

"NATO Breach: Furry Hackers Steal 3,000 Files"

The hacking group SiegedSec, known for describing themselves as "gay furries," claims to have breached NATO and leaked over 3,000 files from the organization's learning management system. The leaked data includes files from various portals, some of which discuss guidelines on protection from chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats. While the sensitivity of the data remains unclear, this is the second alleged breach of NATO's online infrastructure by SiegedSec. The group has previously targeted government websites in several US states, motivated by political reasons. NATO states that it is actively addressing cyber threats and has implemented additional security measures.
