Google Assistant is transferring control of notes and lists to Google Keep, a move that reverses a previous decision made in 2017. While this is good news for users as Keep is a decent note-keeping app, it also raises concerns about relying on a single platform that Google may one day abandon. Previously, Google had moved the shopping list feature from Assistant to Google Express, creating confusion for users. Third-party support for storing lists ended in June, leaving Keep as the primary option. The transition of notes and lists to Keep is automatic, except for certain exceptions. This shift reflects a broader trend of Google Assistant losing features and focus in favor of AI-centered projects.
