The ranking is based on how impressive the device was at the time and what it brought to the Apple Watch in subsequent models. The Series 4 was ranked the highest for finally showing Apple's confidence in what it wanted the Apple Watch to be. The Series 0 was ranked the lowest as it felt like a prototype and was short-lived.
