Kojima's near resignation and cancellation of Metal Gear Solid 2 after 9/11.

Hideo Kojima almost resigned from Konami after the September 11th terrorist attack impacted the release of Metal Gear Solid 2. The game required 300 revisions, leaving the team in "crisis mode".
