State Trooper Shootings Leave Suspects Dead in NY and PA.
A New York state trooper was shot during a traffic stop by an ex-con just out of prison for manslaughter. The gunman died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, while the trooper is expected to survive. The incident occurred on Interstate 88 in Schenectady County, and the trooper's body cam captured the chilling image of the barrel of a gun being pointed at him. The suspect had been released from prison in March for first-degree manslaughter in the Bronx.
