Ybor City shooting suspect claims self-defense in deadly incident

Multiple Shootings in Nashville and Clarksville Leave One Dead

Metro Nashville Police are investigating a fatal shooting at a gas station where a 25-year-old man, DeCarlos Groves, was killed. The store's surveillance video reportedly showed Groves attempting to rob the store and pulling out a handgun. During the struggle, the store clerk, Peter Fang, retrieved a weapon from his shirt pocket, which discharged and struck Groves. Additional shots were fired, and Groves died at the scene. The investigation is ongoing, and the District Attorney's Office will be involved.
