"Man Convicted in Fatal River Tubing Stabbing Trial"
Nicolae Miu, a 54-year-old Minnesota man, was found guilty of first-degree reckless homicide and other charges in the stabbing of a high school student and four other people while tubing on a Wisconsin river. The incident occurred after Miu was accused of approaching children in the water, leading to a confrontation during which he fatally stabbed a 17-year-old and injured three men and a woman. Miu claimed self-defense, but prosecutors argued that he had opportunities to defuse the situation.
