Xiaomi has launched the 17 series smartphones, featuring large batteries, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chips, and innovative secondary screens on the Pro models, with design and naming heavily inspired by Apple, and a focus on camera and battery performance. The phones are available in China with plans for a European release, and include the Xiaomi 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max, with the latter two featuring rear secondary displays and larger batteries.
The Kyy Portable Monitor, a 15.6-inch high-definition secondary display with versatile connectivity options and built-in speakers, is available for a record-low price of $70 on Amazon, making it an affordable and portable solution for enhancing productivity or entertainment on the go.
Teevee, a new company founded by Pluto TV's co-founder Ilya Pozin, plans to offer free TVs by bundling ads directly into the TV. The Teevee TV will include a decently-sized TV, a soundbar, and a second smaller screen that will show ads, local weather, news, sports scores, and more. The company's website says it is "coming later this year." Roku reportedly makes about $40 per year per user from its ads and subscriptions, and Teevee could potentially drive that rate up even more with the second screen.
