Nate Diaz Surrenders and Posts Bond After New Orleans Brawl
MMA fighter Nate Diaz turned himself in and posted a $10,000 bond after being charged with second-degree battery for his alleged involvement in a physical altercation outside a New Orleans bar on April 21. Diaz was in New Orleans to watch a teammate's boxing match when he allegedly choked out social media influencer Rodney Peterson in a brawl outside a bar. Diaz's attorney claims that Peterson aggressively pursued Diaz and that Diaz acted in self-defense. Diaz is scheduled to face Jake Paul in a boxing match on August 5, but it is unclear whether his legal proceedings will interfere with the fight.
