Apex Legends Season 17 introduces new ping wheel options, changes to the ping system, and weapon rotations. The RE-45 returns to the floor loot pool, while the L-STAR takes its place in the Care Package. The Sentinel and Alternator will enter the Replicator, and the EVA-8 and 30-30 Repeater will replace them. The ping system now allows players to ping in-game objects with map icons, and Respawn has added a "special drop rate" for Legendary-tier optics in Weapon Supply Bins. Apex Legends' Firing Range has been completely overhauled in Season 17, Arsenal, with a new and much bigger map that includes a 1v1 Duel Pit, a vert course for movement practice, and a town setting with buildings for more realistic practice. Dummies are now fully customizable and can fight back, and players can join in-progress Firing Range sessions. The update allows players to hone their skills in combat, movement, and abilities. Season 17 of Apex Legends goes live on May 9.
