Apex Legends' Season 17 will introduce a new playable character, Ballistic, a disgraced Thunderdome Games champion who has become a recluse after the death of his teammate and brother-in-law. Ballistic's son qualifies for the Apex Games, prompting him to broker a deal with the Syndicate to resume his fighting career as long as his son never competes. The season will also feature an updated World's Edge map, an "evolved" firing range, weapon mastery, and changes to Ranked play.
