A hunter in Horry County, South Carolina, was shot multiple times by another hunter on private land. The victim, who is a family member of the shooter, is in stable condition. The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) is investigating the incident, and initial information suggests it was an accident. Accident reconstruction will be part of the investigative process.
A 24-year-old boater, identified as Jacob Williams, was found dead in the Intracoastal Waterway after a jon boat he was in collided with a dock near Burcale Road. Williams was thrown from the boat upon impact. The Horry County Fire Rescue, Horry County Police Department, Coast Guard, SCDNR, and HCFR’s Marine Rescue and Dive Team searched for Williams and found his body around 11:30 a.m. An autopsy will be scheduled to determine Williams’ cause of death.
A 24-year-old man from Myrtle Beach died after being thrown from a boat that crashed into a dock on the Intracoastal Waterway. The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources recovered his body after a dive search. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
