Recall Chaos: Disney Signatures and Failed Efforts in Orleans
The Orleans Registrar of Voters held a news conference to discuss the recall signature certification process. Several pages of signatures included Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Tiana, and more. Many signatures were profane, and many had to be tossed because they were missing information like addresses, and some weren't legible. The recall effort against Cantrell failed after only 27,000 signatures were certified.
