Republican Representative Ryan Zinke has introduced a bill called the Safeguarding Americans from Extremism Act, which seeks to ban Palestinians from entering the United States and potentially expel those already present. The bill would require the Department of Homeland Security to halt granting visas, asylum, and refuge to individuals with a Palestinian Authority-issued passport. It also aims to revoke the entrance or visa for those who arrived after October 1. Zinke argues that the legislation is necessary to protect Americans from potential threats and claims it is the most anti-Hamas immigration bill he has seen. The bill has garnered support from ten co-sponsors in the Republican Party.
