Sabres ink Ryan Johnston to entry-level contract.
The Buffalo Sabres have signed defenseman Ryan Johnston to a two-year, entry-level contract. Johnston, who completed his senior college season at Minnesota, will report to the Sabres' AHL affiliate in Rochester. The 6-foot, 170-pound player was selected 31st in the 2019 draft and finished his college career with nine goals and 59 points in 143 career games. Both sides are hoping Johnston's age and college experience will enable him to make the jump to the NHL within the next two seasons.
