African Leaders Mediate Russia-Ukraine Conflict Amidst Kyiv Blasts.
An African delegation led by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa is traveling to Russia to convince Russian President Vladimir Putin to seek peace with Ukraine. The delegation includes officials from Senegal, Egypt, Zambia, the Comoros, Egypt, Uganda and the Republic of Congo. Russian militias opposed to Putin have carried out incursions into Russian territory, distracting the Kremlin’s forces and presenting a political problem for Putin.
