Ukrainian Brigade Outsmarts Russian Gunners in Bakhmut Battle

U.S.-donated M109 A6 Paladin self-propelled howitzers have been instrumental in Ukraine's counteroffensive push, with their ability to rapidly reposition after firing proving challenging for Russian artillery troops. The Paladins, along with donated Leopard 2A6 tanks, have helped breach Russia's dense defensive lines. The Ukrainians are using the Paladins to hit targets at less than 10 km, taking advantage of their mobility to hit and move away before the Russians can return fire. The counteroffensive is gradually gaining ground, but the situation remains difficult in some areas. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is in the U.S. seeking more military aid, including short-range ballistic missiles. Germany is sending additional military aid to Ukraine, including armored vehicles, artillery rounds, drones, and 3D printers.
