RAF under fire for filtering out white male pilots in diversity push.

The Royal Air Force (RAF) in the United Kingdom is reportedly under pressure to filter out "useless white male pilots" in order to meet diversity targets, according to leaked emails obtained by Sky News. The emails also revealed that selection boards were cancelled if they did not include women or minorities. The RAF denies that its standards have been lowered to increase diversity and is paying over $123,000 to 31 white men who were disadvantaged by the new policy. The leaked emails were dated between 2020 and 2021.

Last Czech RAF WWII Pilot Emil Bocek Passes Away at 100

Emil Bocek, the last living Czech pilot who fought the Nazis while serving with Britain’s Royal Air Force during World War II, has died at age 100. Bocek fled Czechoslovakia in 1939 at age 16 following the country’s occupation by Germany. He fought the Nazis in France and then moved to Britain, where he served as a technician in the air force’s No. 312 Squadron before joining the RAF’s No. 310 Squadron as a pilot in 1944.
