Linksys has launched the Velop Pro 7, a Wi-Fi 7 mesh router that claims to be so intelligent it can fix itself, leading the company to plan to phase out its router management app. The router utilizes cognitive computing, or machine learning, to handle network management and troubleshoot issues. While Wi-Fi 7 is still in the early adopter stage, the Velop Pro 7 offers features such as Multi-Link Operation and improved interference handling. However, with the Wi-Fi 7 standard not yet finalized and no client devices supporting it, it may be wise to wait for reviews before purchasing.
