Roundabout Theater Company's Rebuilder Todd Haimes Passes Away at 66

Todd Haimes, the artistic director and CEO of Roundabout Theater Company, has died at the age of 66 due to complications of osteosarcoma. Haimes led the nonprofit theater company for four decades, turning it into a major player on Broadway and winning 11 Tony Awards for plays and musicals it produced. He was also a supporter of new work and nurtured the careers of contemporary American writers. Under his leadership, Roundabout staged successful revivals of classics and focused on lost gems written by artists of color. Haimes is survived by his wife, two children, two stepdaughters, and four grandchildren.
