"Comparing Electric Vehicle Reliability in Extreme Cold Conditions"
In a country with extreme cold and a significant number of electric vehicles, a roadside assistance company reports that gas-powered cars are experiencing the majority of problems starting. While extreme cold may affect electric vehicle chargers, it's argued that the attention it receives is due to being a new technology with different failure reasons than gas vehicles in the cold. Roadside assistance data shows that only 13% of starting difficulties are from electric cars, but this doesn't account for the age of the vehicles, as older gas cars fail at a higher rate and electric vehicles are generally more recent.
