Radio New Zealand Apologizes for Pro-Kremlin Propaganda in Ukraine Coverage
New Zealand's national public service radio broadcaster, RNZ, has apologised for publishing "pro-Kremlin garbage" after changes were found to have been made to more than a dozen wire agency articles covering Russia's invasion of Ukraine. RNZ has undertaken an audit of its articles and has so far corrected 17 published stories because of what it said was "inappropriate editing". A digital journalist has been placed on leave, and RNZ's editorial systems have been deemed insufficiently robust.
