Cruise Ship Collisions on the Danube: Multiple Injuries Reported
A Bulgarian cruise ship carrying over 140 passengers crashed into a concrete wall along the River Danube in Austria, injuring 17 people. The ship experienced a sudden loss of maneuverability, resulting in 11 hospitalizations and 6 less serious injuries. The exact cause of the steering issue is unclear, but the ship was able to continue its journey after the electronics were reset. This incident follows a recent container ship crash in Baltimore and a tragic 2019 Danube disaster that claimed 27 lives.
