The Malaysian businesswoman who owned the ring had accused a hotel employee of stealing it, but Ritz security guards discovered the ring in the dusty bag. The woman had already left for London when the ring was found and is expected to return to Paris to retrieve it. The hotel offered her three additional nights, which she declined.
