Abercrombie & Fitch has suspended additional retirement payments to its former CEO, Mike Jeffries, following allegations of sex trafficking. The company had been providing Jeffries with lifetime bonus payments of about $1 million a year on top of his standard pension. The allegations came to light in a BBC Panorama documentary and podcast series, which revealed claims of exploitation by young men recruited for sex events organized by Jeffries and his British partner. A civil lawsuit has accused Abercrombie & Fitch of funding a sex-trafficking operation. The company has suspended the extra retirement payments but declined to comment further due to ongoing legal proceedings.
