Tragic Mass Shooting in Orange County Claims Lives, Including Scottsdale Woman
A retired police sergeant from Ohio, identified as John Snowling, traveled to California to confront his estranged wife at a bar in Orange County. He shot his wife and other patrons, killing three people, including a Scottsdale woman named Tonya Clark. Snowling was later killed in a shootout with responding deputies. The motive behind the shooting is still unclear, but authorities believe it was related to the ongoing separation and divorce of Snowling's wife. The Orange County Sheriff's Department praised the swift response of the deputies and will release body-camera footage of the incident.
