Houston Hobby Airport's Dining Scene Gets a Makeover

Pappas BBQ has ceased operations at Houston Hobby Airport after losing a legal battle with the Houston City Council, which entered into an agreement with Areas to handle restaurant operations for the next 10 years. Eight new temporary restaurants have replaced Pappas, including Gastrohub Bistro & Bar, Streat, and Pink's Pizza. Pappas officials claim they were not allowed to take equipment that is rightfully theirs, but the city of Houston legal responded that a contract said otherwise. A total of 20 permanent dining and retail concepts will be open by late 2024.
