
Health Inspection Woes: Fruit Flies and Cross-Contamination Plague Popular Restaurants
Calhoun's on the River in Knoxville received a failing grade of 62 during a restaurant inspection due to nine critical violations, including workers not wearing gloves, not washing hands, presence of fruit flies, cross-contamination, and improper food temperatures. However, during a follow-up inspection, all violations were corrected, resulting in an upgraded score of 92. Other restaurants with top scores include Taco Bell, Garden Express, Preservation Pub, KFC, Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse, Shoney's, Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, and McDonald's.
