"Federal Suit Alleges Religious Harassment of Muslim Chipotle Employee Over Hijab"
Chipotle is facing a lawsuit filed by the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on behalf of a former Muslim employee who alleges she was subjected to religious harassment by her supervisor because she wore a hijab. The supervisor repeatedly pressured her to remove her hijab and even grabbed and yanked it, exposing her hair. Despite reporting the harassment, the employee claims that management failed to address the issue, leading her to resign. Chipotle has stated that they have a zero tolerance policy for discrimination and have terminated the employee in question. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is seeking a jury trial and appropriate compensation for the employee.
