Houston captures its first Big 12 men's basketball regular season title in its inaugural season as a conference member, finishing with a 15-3 record. The team is also the top seed in the upcoming Phillips 66 Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championship. Coach Kelvin Sampson led the Cougars to their second Big 12 regular season title, with Iowa State, Baylor, and Texas Tech rounding out the top four seeds. The championship will take place from March 12-16 in Kansas City's T-Mobile Center, with limited tickets available for purchase.
