"Denmark's Crown Prince Christian Assumes Regency as King Frederik Embarks on First Foreign Visit"
Crown Prince Christian of Denmark is acting as regent for the first time while his father, King Frederik, is away visiting Poland. This marks the first time the 18-year-old has taken on the role, following his grandmother Queen Margrethe's abdication. The Danish Royal House confirmed that Christian made a solemn declaration to abide by the Constitution prior to assuming this responsibility. While Queen Margrethe, Prince Joachim, and Princess Benedikte can also act as regents, Christian's position as the heir to the throne takes precedence. King Frederik's visit to Poland includes meetings with the President and participation in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
