Red Pine residents shocked by sudden eviction notice
Residents of Red Pine Estates in Bemidji, Minnesota, were given a six-day notice to vacate their homes due to structural concerns. Many of the nearly 50 residents, mostly elderly and reliant on social security, are left without affordable housing options in the area. The property owner, Schuett Companies, claims they were unaware of the severity of the concerns until an invasive inspection was conducted. Frustrations among residents include a lack of communication from the management company and the deteriorating maintenance of the building. The residents now face the challenge of finding new homes within a tight timeframe.
