"Head-to-Head: Cadillac Lyriq vs. Model Y - Charging Speed and Popularity Compared"

A test of the Cadillac Lyriq's DC fast charging capabilities revealed that the vehicle was able to charge at a maximum rate of 188 kW, close to its stated maximum of 190 kW. However, the charging rate gradually reduced after reaching a peak, resulting in a slow charging speed. In a 40-minute session, the Lyriq was only able to add back 60% of its battery, translating to 187 EPA-rated miles added. Further testing is needed to fully assess the vehicle's charging capabilities.

"2023 Toyota Prius Prime: A Game-Changing Hybrid with Impressive Range and Performance"

InsideEVs conducted a 70 mph range test on the 2023 Toyota Prius Prime, a plug-in hybrid with a sleek, aggressive design and a larger battery than its predecessor. The Prius Prime SE has an EPA range rating of 44 miles per charge, while the XSE and XSE Premium trims are rated at 39 miles per charge. During the test, the vehicle covered 34 miles before the combustion engine turned on, likely due to the rainy and chilly conditions. The vehicle's average consumption rate was 3.1 miles per kilowatt hour, indicating that only about 11 kilowatt-hours of the 13.6 kilowatt-hour battery pack are accessible in EV mode.
