Rep. Mike Levin announced $53.9 million in federal funds for San Diego County rail improvements, following a recent landslide that halted train traffic between San Diego and Orange County. The funds will be used for projects to improve reliability, increase ridership, and make the corridor more resilient to climate change, including building a second set of tracks near Del Mar and a small station at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.
