"End of an Era: Audi Bids Farewell to the R8 Supercar"
The Audi R8, a flagship sports car, has ceased production with the final model, a Vegas Yellow coupe, rolling off the assembly line in Germany. Despite a recent surge in sales, the R8 has historically had low demand due to its high price tag. The discontinuation also marks the end of Volkswagen Group's V-10 engine, as the sister car, the Lamborghini Huracan, will also be phased out. While Lamborghini plans to introduce a successor with a plug-in hybrid setup, Audi does not intend to launch a direct replacement for the R8, signaling the end of the high-revving V-10 engine era.
