Funcom is planning to improve PvP and address toxicity issues in Dune: Awakening's Deep Desert, including tweaks to Ornithopters and adding new locations for factional warfare, while also working on quality of life updates and future content like boss encounters and additional maps.

Season 3 and update 4.0.0 for the game introduces Emperor Thaurissan as the new Blackrock Leader, along with two new emotes. The PvP season brings structural changes, random map selection, and new "Enchant" mod type, while War Chest Crest rewards have been increased. Additional PvP improvements include increased rewards for wins, adjustments to honor gains, and changes to treasure chest spawns. The update also includes improvements to guilds, Arclight Surge, G.R.I.D, relics, leaders, troops, and spells, as well as the addition of new relics.
